This spreadsheet started in 2003 as a temporary record keeping device for a new text book, The Bible and It's Influence (http://www.bibleliteracy.org). 

It has grown to a full publication management system that tracks clients, orders, and keeps precise number on the various components as well as an executive dashboard.

The client had a very unique requirement of having to track two blocks of work with specific hours. This sheet requires key information, then yields the time tracking with alerts the user to limits and changes (with voice prompts). In addition it has protected areas for accounting to generate check requests and other reports.

On average we manage more than 1000 domain name for clients at multiple registrars. In order to track renewals and just as important, "Do Not Renews," we developed this sheet for ourselves. It aggregates the current domains lists from each registrar and then allows us to sort and filter on domains that need to be renewed. It also allows us to flag domains that are to expire on purpose.

We manage hundreds of sites on our servers. We built a spreadsheet that tracks all the sites, versions, software, and numerous other key points that make it easy to track, update, and maintain the server.

A few years ago one of my clients asked me to automate the scoring and awards for the Home Crafts building at our annual county fair. For years they did this with a huge notebook (more than 8 inches thick) and hundreds of pieces of paper. After the event they had to sort them out in 1,2, and 3 for each category (there are hundreds of categories) then mail the awards to the winners.  WIth this spreadsheet the judges sit a table with an administrator. As they score them the results are put directly into the spreadsheet.  Multiple pivot tables with auto-update code show the real time results. In the end, they export the winner's data an merge print all the envelopes. It has saved 100's of hours and resolved numerous arguments about who's pie is best. Awesome.
